When applying Siser Easy Puff to thicker garments like sweatshirts, hoodies, or crew necks, it’s important to adjust your heat press settings to ensure the best puff effect. These garments distribute heat differently from lighter fabrics, requiring increased pressure and heat for the vinyl to achieve the desired appearance.

Steps for Pressing Siser Easy Puff on Thick Garments:

Pre-Press the Garment

Preheat the garment for 5-10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

Adjust Heat Press Settings:

Temperature: Set to 280°F-300°F.
Time: Extend pressing time to 14-16 seconds (add 4 seconds to the standard time).
Pressure: Apply firm to heavy pressure for even heat and consistent application.

Prepare the Design

Position the Siser Easy Puff HTV on the garment with the carrier side facing up. Align carefully.

Press the Design

Press the garment with the adjusted settings, ensuring consistent pressure and heat to activate the puff effect on thicker garments.

Peel the Carrier

Peel the carrier while warm for the best results.

Additional Tips:

Use a pressing pillow to raise the pressing area if seams or pockets interfere with even pressure.

Avoid over-pressing, as it can reduce the puff effect.

Test a sample before starting production to confirm the settings.
